CA Akshay Purandare is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years of post-qualification experience in assurance and advisory across diverse sectors, including energy, logistics, BFSI, capital goods, EPC, telecom, heavy engineering, and IT. He currently serves as an Independent Director at Danfoss Systems Limited and is a Partner at Kirtane & Pandit LLP, Chartered Accountants.

He holds a B.Com degree, a Diploma in IFRS from ACCA (UK), and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (F.C.A.). His practice areas span assurance services, BRSR, IPO assurance, and outsourcing, alongside advisory under the Companies Act, ESG, IFRS and US GAAP reporting, SEBI-driven limited reviews, and IPO-related assurance engagements.

Akshay actively mentors startups and capability/skill development centers for FP&A functions and has been invited to speak on a national television talk show on ‘Start-Up India’ in 2016, reflecting his commitment to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He continues to guide startups in multiple capacities while frequently addressing industry forums, management institutes, and schools to mentor youth.

He has completed an Executive Education Programme from IIM Bangalore on ESG, climate change, and building future-ready organizations, as well as certifications on Sustainability and BRSR and Ind AS from ICAI. In governance and industry bodies, he serves as an Independent Director on the board, audit committee, and CSR committee of a large European manufacturing public limited company, is a Managing Committee member of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (India chapter), and is a technical speaker at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

Akshay also contributes to research and thought leadership, serving on working committees and research groups, and has recently published a comprehensive research report on the “India Growth Story with IPOs.” He regularly speaks on financial reporting and corporate governance, engaging as a trainer and subject-matter expert with diverse professional audiences.
